Keith Mosier: Call To Congo

Keith will be our Guest Speaker during Worship Services on
Sabbath, July 12, 2008

On a hot, humid morning we boarded a plan to Kisangani, a city on the banks of the mighty Congo River, less than one degree from the equator in Africa. As we flew over the vast jungle of the Congo River Basin, I looked down and wondered, "Who lives here? And how will these people be reached for Christ?"

Running From Death
The story of Adventist Holocast Rescuer John Weidner

Weidner used to share with his wife, Naomi, a story of his childhood in Europe. As a little boy of about 8 or 9, he decided one day to run away from home. He didn’t really have a good reason, for he came from a loving family made up of his pastor father, his mother, two sisters, and a younger brother.

On his journey “away” he encountered a drunken person who scared him into rethinking his plans. As he trudged home, his family caught sight of him making his way back. Unbeknownst to him, he was about to be taught a serious lesson.
